Casa Galo Verde, a jewel consisting of 7 private holiday flats, is exquisitely located directly on the spectacular Albandeira cliffs and beaches near the well-known holiday resort of Carvoeiro.
Behind a large wooden gate hides the dreamlike private estate, partly fenced, partly surrounded by low natural stone walls. All around is pure nature and the most magnificent view, which leaves nothing to be desired.
The flat, facing west towards the evening sun, consists of bathroom with shower, living room, open plan and bedroom as well as a private terrace overlooking the sea and the coastline to the east.
The communal pool, sun loungers and parasols tempt you to cool off and relax. Barbecue lovers will be in their element, with a large table and brick BBQ ready for sociable evenings.
A dirt road leads from the garden through terrain overgrown with native shrubs, trees, flowers and bushes to the Praia das Fontainhas bathing bay below,

Perfect for cosy and silent trips

The villa is one big house. There a differences in the interior and the direction. Some rooms are to the front some are to the side/ back. The rooms are quite big. The walk to the beach is short but it is not easy for elderlies. There is also a saunasee more

The walk to the beach is short but it is not easy for elderlies. There is also a sauna we did not use. The pool is very big and it’s also nice to stay there just to chill. All in all a great experience. The staff was really nice and answered our requests even on Sundays! The location of the house is perfect and different cities are good reachable (check comment to mountain path)

The cleaners just changed the towels, nothing else. The description in the room said they would clean the room. Additionally there was no oven in the kitchen and no dish washer. Everything says safe the algarve use less water. The first way to do thasee more
The cleaners just changed the towels, nothing else. The description in the room said they would clean the room. Additionally there was no oven in the kitchen and no dish washer. Everything says safe the algarve use less water. The first way to do that is to put a dish washer into the apartment… washing by hand is not friendly for the environment. The kitchen sink is inclined with a degree that water of not dry plates drips down to the floor. It is important to add that the way to the house (last 2-5km) is a small mountain track. With big cars your are not able to pass through and there are unevennesses that let your car ground which is not good if you rent it. Please fix the street. The garden or terrace could be planted better. There are some walking trails to go through which look bad. The view from our side was not to the ocean. It was into the backyard. With more trees it would be cozier…

The last 600m to Galo Verde is uneven but you are rewarded with the most special and terrific location! Unfortunately, the repair of the road is out of our hands, it is a public road with the town hall responsible. We would like to comment on the mid week towel change. Full mid week cleaning with sheets and towels for reservations from 9 days onwards. Oven on request when making the reservation. May we point out that water usage is a sensitive topic in the Algarve as we experience currently water scarcity. This also applies also of course to the garden where there are plants which use little water as is natural to the area. Thank you for your understanding. Die Lage ist unglaublich schön und ruhig. Es gab Sternenhimmel und viele Sternschnuppen am Pool. Die Wohnung ist extrem gut und liebevoll ausgestattet. Es gibt sogar einen Pizzaschneider, Sitzkissen und Tischdecke für draussen, Teelichter, Zündhölzer, auch eine Salatschleuder, elektrische Orangenpresse, Kaffee, Wasser, 1 Flasche Wein, Zucker, Essig, Kekse, Reiseführer und einen Blumenstrauss.....Was für ein schöner Empfang. Es waren keine Wünsche offen. So eine gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung hatten wir bisher nirgends. Auch das Bett war sehr bequem, aber nicht durchgelegen, morgens keine Schmerzen beim Aufstehen. Es gibt auch Fliegengitter im Schlafzimmer und elektrische Mückenabwehr, phantastisch. Der Aussenbereich ist wunderbar gestaltet und gepflegt und der Pool ist ein Traum, man kann richtig hin und herschwimmen. Von der Anlage kann man direkt in eine schöne Küstenlandschaft loswandern und die hauseigene Bucht ist direkt vor der Hoftüre. Wir kommen definitiv wieder an diesen wunderbaren Ort.

WLAN hat leider nicht funktioniert, wir haben es aber auch nicht eingefordert. In der Küche wären Handtuchhaken und in der Dusche eine Ablage für Shampoo hilfreich
